12. Peru
Peru shares much of the Amazon Rainforest with neighboring countries, resulting in high snake diversity. Anacondas, bushmasters, and many venomous pit vipers inhabit its jungles and wetlands. Snakes play a vital role in controlling prey populations within Peru’s complex ecosystems.
